FPELC is a warm, happy environment with creative teachers who truly love children. We are so excited that you are willing to share your child with us for a short time each day. It is our goal for your child to develop a love of learning in a Christ-centered environment. Our staff works diligently to prepare your children for “big school.” We believe that at FPELC it is “a Great Place to Grow!”

Open House is Monday, August 4 at 10:00 and 11:15. We will meet in the church sanctuary for a brief orientation, and then go to the classrooms to meet the teachers.

Monday, August 8 is the first day of school!

We still have some spots left in our 2's, 3's and 4's classes.

Curriculum

Our programs are 2, 3 or 5 days a week. All classes are based upon the Creative Curriculum preschool model, which focuses on learning through play. All classes also incorporate Christian teachings and kindergarten readiness skills through thematic units. Peer-modeling, lively interaction, play and conversation in a print-rich environment are imperative components of our early childhood curriculum. We are pleased to have two certified teachers on staff at FPELC.

Our Philosophy

At First Presbyterian Early Learning Center, we understand that children are unique individuals who learn at their own pace and in various ways and that learning should be fun, safe, meaningful, and challenging. Through the use of active play and structured activities, we provide learning opportunities which aid children in developing their academic, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being in a Christ-centered learning environment. It is our honor to work in partnership with families during this important and special time.
